WHAT IS THE PAINTED LOFT?
The Painted Loft is a unique maker space located in Vancouver BC that offers classes and workshops of all kinds, paint nights, macrame classes, chunky knitting and more. Our instructor-led workshops provide you with the instruction, materials and design for you to build, stain, paint, distress, and customize your own piece of art!

We are located in the Iconic Parker Street Studios in studio 221 - 1000 Parker Street Vancouver
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP?
Registering for a workshop is easy through our website. Click on 'Upcoming Workshops' from our menu and there you will find our Calendar of Events.
Pick your desired class date and time, design, and pay online. We will have your materials ready and waiting for you!

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO A WORKSHOP?
Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in, take your seat, and peruse the stain & paint selections. Be sure to arrive early if you are coming with a friend and wish to be seated together. Please plan to arrive on time. We cannot admit late arrivals once we have begun the step by step instruction process.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR A WORKSHOP?
Costs vary depending on the size, nature and complexity of the project, but generally range from $75 - $100+. Special event classes may vary in price.
CAN I CHOOSE ANY OF YOUR DESIGNS FOR ANY PROJECT?
Our designs and sign sizes are preset. When registering and choosing your project at checkout, you will be asked to pick your design from a gallery which lists each according to size.
DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM DESIGNS?
We do for certain projects & sizes! Subject to a design fee. Please contact us to discuss further!
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION OR LATE POLICY?
Due to the custom nature and space constraints of our workshops, we do not offer refunds.
Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance of a workshop will be granted a credit for a future workshop.
Late Arrivals: Due to the nature of our workshop sessions and the time needed to complete each project, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early as we begin our workshops on time. Late arrivals and last-minute registrants may be asked to reschedule in order to participate.

CAN 2 PEOPLE WORK ON ONE PROJECT TOGETHER?
One Person Per Project: Due to local bylaws and fire safety codes, we cannot accommodate more than one person per project so that we do not go over capacity.
CAN I MAKE 2 PROJECTS IN ONE WORKSHOP?
One Project Per Person: Due to time and space constraints, we only allow each person to work on one project at a time. This ensures you will have the ability to complete your DIY project in the allotted workshop time.
DO I HAVE TO COME WITH A GROUP?
Nope! We welcome all of our individual guests as well as larger groups.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE PARTIES?
Yes!
We can offer the entire space for private parties, or private tables at an open workshop. Party minimums vary by day and time of day.

CAN WE BRING IN FOOD AND DRINKS?
Participants may bring light snacks & the beverage of their choice. BYOB, beer or wine only, is permitted for participants of BC legal drinking age. No hard liquor, please!
THE WORKSHOP I WANT TO TAKE IS SOLD OUT! NOW WHAT?
If you see that one of our Workshops is sold out, it means we do not have any available seats for that day/time.
We can add you to a waitlist if someone cancels - otherwise please join us another time!

are there any risks involved in participating in a workshop?
Various handtools such as drills, mallets, nail gun, sand paper, paint, wood stains, etc. are used during workshops. If you have a condition that will increase your likeliness of experiencing injuries or breathing issues, please contact us ahead of time if this is right for you. You must agree to our Safety Waiver during the checkout process to participate in a workshop.
We recommend you wear clothing that is not special to you. Creating works of art isn't always clean, and messes may be made - but that is part of the fun!

is there any age limit to participate?
Participants must be 15 or older to participate in any workshop.

our studio is located at the top of a set of stairs , not wheelchair accessable
